Gollehon is recognized by the national media as an expert on casino gambling, having appeared on numerous television documentaries. Frequently cited in newspaper stories on gaming, particularly on subjects of casino proliferation and its economic and social impact. Early '80s, casino consultant on issues of promotions and player development. Participated in 1986 referendum campaign opposing casino expansion in Michigan (Detroit area casinos). Noted author of 28 books on the subject; first published by G. P. Putnam's Sons (now Penguin/Putnam). His own house also publishes his works and those of other top experts in the field. The author's writings now span four decades, having first published a gaming newsletter in 1979. His last published work is titled Strike The Casino With Winning Strategies, published in 2007. Gollehon is also considered an expert on antiques and collectibles, an interest he hopes will culminate in "Antique Village," a project he is designing as a prototype for similar attractions across the country. The park-like grounds will feature a collection of unique shops and restaurants geared to collectors and artisans. His articles and reviews have appeared in leading antiques publications. Antique Trader, the industry's leading trade publication, deemed his writings "sage advice."
